Healing of Memories

"What we try to forget gets buried in the unconscious. It surfaces in critical situations and erupts mercilessly." - From God In The Mist

God In The Mist

To know myself is to know God because I am created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26). Since it is God who created me He has a name for me. He will then call me by this name. This will be my Spiritual Name, unless God changes it.

My human name is John. It is the name my father gave me. My existence on earth is through my mother by birth. I am a son of the Lee Family; I am a dentist by profession; I am husband to my wife, father to my children, brother to my siblings; I am also grandfather, granduncle, uncle, nephew, cousin, father-in-law, son-in-law, brother-in-law, employer and citizen. I am author and friend. I am student and teacher, participant and facilitator, guest and host, customer, patient and client. I am...

These are the many roles and characters I play in the great drama of my life. When the show ends, so too these roles and characters. I am then left standing on an empty stage still wanting to play another role, still trying in vain to be someone other than myself.

The key quesiton is: who am I really? To answer this I must go beyond my birth so that, by grace and through faith, I may get a sneak preview in the spiritual realm to envision the miracle of creation: "Before you were conceived in your mother's womb, I knew you" - Jeremiah 1:4

Then I will believe: My origin is through God by creation. I am, therefore, a son of God who created me, who breathed into me the breath of life. God is my Father. He calls me by name and I answer to this name. What is this name?
