Handling Expectations

"Are you confronted or influenced by the set values of our elders – whether at home, at work or in the church, by our government, and by society in general? Are you constantly being challenged to conform to their tradition, ideology, doctrine and policy, or risk becoming outcasts in the society we live in? Do you compromise to help ease the tension rising from within?" - From God In The Mist 3

God In The Mist 3

Life is a struggle.

Daily, besides crimes and other offences, we are troubled by uncertainty, burdened with accomplishments, anxious over the outcome and fearful of failure, and yet we are unwilling to ask for help to try to change our attitude. We just complain and sigh. Why?

It is because of sin that is inherent in us. In Romans 7:18-25, St Paul tells us that while one serves the Law of God in the true self, it is in the unspiritual self that one serves the law of sin. Thus when one becomes a prisoner of that law in sin in the unspiritual body, one cannot do any good at all. Thus even though the desire to do good is there, the outcome is not. This is the inner conflict in Man.
